Who are we?
We are Hoku and Jerome, and we are the Headliner’s Crate team!
Headliner’s Crate is the first of its kind to bring festival and rave goers everything that they need to bring their experience to a whole new level. From festival essentials to little rave goodies, our crate brings it all.
We’ve recently launched our full website so that we can bring our creation to the masses. The biggest problem that we’ve run into is the lack of funding to get us off the ground, and this is where you and the rest of the rave community come in. We’re looking to raise $25,000 to assist us in our launch.
How will the money be used?
The two major obstacles that we’ve found ourselves faced with when it comes to funding are advertising costs and product acquisition costs.
While we’re continuing to work on free and low cost advertising campaigns through community blogs, forums, group pages, word of mouth and the sort, the fact of the matter is that as a start up we need to get our brand out and recognizable to as many ravers in the EDM community as possible. Doing so increases web traffic through our site and helps spread the word about Headliner’s Crate.
Simple instagram and blog promotion posts can cost upwards of $1000 per post and many of them are only placed online and viewable for a limited period of time. As one might imagine those costs add up rather quickly, and that’s before accounting for things like Google Ad-words and costs associated with photo-shoots for visual advertisements.
Once advertisements are launched and live, there comes the task of acquiring shipping materials and products to fulfill the orders that we receive. Our subscription goal for month one is 250 subscribers, and our stretch goal is 1,000. While having the subscribers on our customer list will bring in some funding for their boxes, we’ll need funding before hand to ensure the efficient packaging and shipping of said boxes so that our customers will receive their first boxes in a timely manner.
How soon will we need the funds?
Being brand new and still starting up we’ll need the funds as soon as possible so that we can start to use our own profits from sales to put back into growing our company.
Why this means so much to us.
The story of Headliner’s Crate starts with the spontaneous adventure of a lifetime at an electronic music festival in Orlando that we had planned together over the course of a week. While each of us have been a part of the rave scene in some capacity for quite some time, it was Jerome’s first true festival, and after a full day road tripping in the car and two days dancing under the lights in the night sky the both of us came to the same conclusion: we needed to find a way to recreate that feeling of love and togetherness that we experienced while we were with one another.
To say that our experience together was unforgettable would be an incredible understatement, and the truth is that none of us would have come together if it weren’t for the festival community and the rave culture. The music brought us together, and it’s safe to say that it will continue to keep us close together as ever as we expand our reach and bring new people into our rave family.
From the lights, to the sounds, and even sights and smells, our goal was and continues to be to extend that experience to as many people, young and old, rookie or seasoned, as we can, and that all starts with you.
With that being said, we can't express how thankful we all are for the support.
The whole affair of creating and launching a new company is an incredibly taxing but ultimately rewarding endeavor, and we’d like to share the rewards with all of you who believed in our dream and backed us.
