Former Sydney Rooster and Parramatta Eel Chad Robinson was an extremely well liked, highly respected and much loved member of the NRL family.
Sadly, in November 2016 Chad lost his battle with mental illness, and we are coming together to honour his legacy.
This fundraising page was initially set up by Chad's friends in the Hills District Dads (Sydney) Facebook community that Chad was a big part of in his post-footy career. Never too proud to speak of his own circumstances or personal battles, he was always there to offer sound and fatherly advice, or to tell a gushing tale about the loves of his life, Kiara and Cooper.
Anything you can give, be it just $5, $10 or $20 all adds up, and will all make a huge difference.
Give more if you can, less if you can't. Give something.
Every cent raised (less GoFundMe fees) will go straight to a fund established by the Roosters and Eels, that will be held in trust for Chad's two teenage children.
Chad Robinson didn't hide from his pain, or pretend it didn't exist. He acknowledged it, challenged it, and would always, ALWAYS, encourage others to do the same. We all wish you had another round in you, Robbo.
We know you fought. You inspired us. You'll be terribly missed, but never forgotten.
