Save homeless Cats: St Gertrude
I am here to help with the communities that are overrun with homeless cats. I have extensive training and knowledge about cats from my previous work at the humane society as the feline specialist, supervisor, and volunteer coordinator. Every single day I was faced with the constant calls of frustrated home owners that are in the midst of a homeless cat community (also known as a clowder), trying to get any help they can. Unfortunately, the need is so great that one organization can't defeat it on its own...that is where I come in with a new nonprofit that focuses on improving the lives of both the humans and the felines. Preservation of life and quality of life are the backbone of this nonprofit. The program that we use is tried and true, and humane society approved. We are raising funds to pay for spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer, humane traps, cat food, insulated outdoor sheltering, and other expenses associated with rescuing homeless, forgotten felines.. Together we can do great things! Check out our website, catinitiative.org https://www.facebook.com/The-St-Gertrude-Cat-Initiative-1932049807124322/ + Read More
Betty and her baby. The older population cannot be forgotten. They love their pets as much as anyone, but often cannot afford expensive vet appointments nor do they have transportation to the appointments. This is where we can help. My favorite cases are when we help a family stay together.
Callie and her loving momma, after her spay. This lovely lady is unable to get around well and needed our help taking care of her cats. Keeping families together is our mission.
This is Mike. The very last neuter of the 1st cat colony. His mommies are very pleased with how well behaved he is now that he doesn't have all those male hormones!
