Tanisha Anderson Memorial Fund
$5,671 of $7,000 goal
On Wednesday November 12, 2014, My sister Tanisha N. Anderson, 37, died by the hands of a Cleveland Police Officer.
The police was called to her address on Ansel Rd. on Cleveland's east side over a dispute at her home. Tanisha suffered from mental and physical health issues, and on this day she just wasn't in her right state of mind. Not at all violent, just not at all her normal self.
When the police arrived, the family asked if they could take Tanisha to the Hospital for a mental health evaluation, but as they attempted to put Tanisha in the police car, she did not want to go. She begged and pleaded not to be taken to the hospital where she had been before and avoided getting into the car. She was then restrained by a male police officer using excessive force, tackled down to the ground using the "Take Down" move, then put into hand cuffs .The police officer then called over a second officer who assisted in pinning Tanisha face down on the ground with his knee pressed down heavily into her back for 6 to 7 minutes, until her body went completely limp. When witnesses asked was she OK after noticing she stopped moving, the officers replied by saying she was fine, SHES JUST SLEEPING; ATTEMPTING TO COVER UP THE FACT THAT HE JUST COMMITTED MURDER. The officer allowed my sister to lie faced down on the blistering cold ground, handcuffed, for over 20 minutes until the ambulance finally arrive. They never attempted to resuscitate her at any point before EMT arrived. Instead they continued to cover up the fact that she was dead by saying she was sleeping while she lie there Life-Less!!
Currently, an investigation is under way, and the family is seeking justice for our beloved Tanisha.
Struck by her sudden death, the family is left with the heavy burden of paying for funeral arrangements for Tanisha. This memorial fund was created to help the family raise money to give Tanisha the proper funeral and burial that she deserves.
Please assist in any way that you can. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

@loretta tuberville wow ....just don't donate
Sounds like to me they felt just like y'all did in wanting to take her to get help. That's why y'all called. At the time the officers had a job to do and that's was to take her because they seen "just like you" she wasn't in the right state of mind. The procedure they used is standed in talking someone dies, just so happen your sister died from it... I guess the autopsy report will tell how she died. It could have been anything to cause it. Why not setup a fund to go directly to the funeral home and not to you? Some ppl use tragedy to make money and not many will donate do to that. If that's what you need, I think you should tell ppl in your statemt what funeral home to send the money too.
