Help Avyanah go on a Historically Black College and University Tour! This amazing tour includes travel, lodging, food, tours of nine schools  and a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture as well as the Martin Luther King Memorial. I first met Avyanah when she was my fourth grade student. I was lucky enough to have her as my fifth grade student when I looped with that class. Avy was (and is!) a dedicated student and friend. She spends time putting in the extra work and really cares about learning. She loves history and culture and hopes to travel the world. Avy has talked about going to college since I met her in the fourth grade. I'm dedicated to helping her get there! This spring break Avyanah has the opportunity to go on this tour with peers from her school. Right now she is a junior in high school. She plays basketball and softball and is a referee with a youth league. Avyanah has become a part of my family, spending time with my kids and helping me as I navigate motherhood. She is a talented young person who I am proud to know and love. Help me support her dream of going on this tour and kick start her college vision!
