As you may have seen on the news, the unexpected and tragic death of our mom, Hazel Billingsley, leaves us forced to reach out for help towards the cost of burying her.
Hazel was a fun loving mother and grandmother that sacrificed so much of herself for her family and animals. The love of life that she had can be seen through her photography.
The sacrifices that she made unfortunately resulted in her tragic death. Our family tried so hard to help her grandson, Nathan, overcome his drug addiction. She never gave up on him and wanted him to be the best he could be. There were many laughs but many heartaches along this way for her. She herself didn't have much but took away from her needs to help him and others. We will never know the exact details of what she went through the night of her death but we do know that even through this tragedy she would still love him. Due to drugs, we lost two loved ones that night that ripped our family apart.
We ask that you please keep our family in your prayers through this difficult time and any donations, big or small, will help in even the basic funeral costs for our mom.
Because this was so sudden and tragic, we had no idea of the expenses involved in laying a loved one to rest. We are putting what she had, what we have, and any donations towards the cost of her burial. We are not sure at this time where our mother will be laid to rest as we are basing her funeral on what funds are contributed and working out the details with the funeral home.
Some people may not realize what a death, let alone a sudden and tragic one, entails - the series of steps it takes to go through her personal belongings, bills, caring for her pets, and being in the home where the tragic event took place, are causing extreme mental and emotional pain.
We are so grateful for any donations towards her funeral. Our mom and Nana would be humbled to know that so many reached out to help her.
We hope and pray that other families will never experience a loss at all, but especially such a devastating one.
