Haynes Family - Agoura Fires

Our beloved family ranch house, the house we all grew up in, the house my parents lived in for 43 years and raised 5 children in was completely destroyed by the Woolsey fires on Friday 11/9. It’s burned to the ground.... everything! My parents, Gary & Valarie Haynes, brothers and 4 dogs had a short warning to get out because the fires had traveled so fast across the freeway in Agoura Hills. They left hoping they would be back home that evening, only to find out the house was gone a few hours later. Their guest house which they depended on for their mortgage and all the work they have done on their main house trying to convert the back part into a rental to retire on is now gone! They do have insurance but it will not be nearly enough to recover all that was lost as well as rebuild. Right now all they have is a back seat of a few belongings and trunk of clothes. They are completely starting over! All my own childhood memories and pictures are gone as well, but it’s nothing compared to the devastation of what our family has lost. We are heartbroken... for all the memories, pictures, memorabilia, holidays, gatherings and the place we call home.
