Haylee's Medical Expenses

I am raising money for medical expenses for my beautiful 12- year old niece Haylee. On Sunday November 16th she was involved in a terrible ATV accident. She was taken by ambulance to the football field at Rappahanok Highschool and immediately airlifted to Charlottesville due to her injuries. My other niece Abi and a friend of Haylee’s were on the bike as well but luckily were able to walk away from the accident. She has ligament damage connecting her brain to her spine and they are discussing the need for surgery. She also has bleeding in her brain but they are not too worried about that right now. She has bruises on her lungs, both jaw sockets are broken, both eye sockets broken, her nose and many other small bones in her face are broken or fractured. The entire left side of her face is burned. She has stiches above and below her eyes, left of her nose, and left of her mouth and on her forehead. She has reconstructive and plastic surgery scheduled for Wednesday.

She is very tired but responsive and began writing notes to communicate this morning (11/17). For those of you who do not know Haylee, she is a FIGHTER. She will overcome her injuries but we all know she has a very long road ahead of her. My sister Heather and her husband Dane are by Haylee’s side in Charlottesville and we ask for everyone’s positive thoughts and prayers for Haylee to make a full recovery.
