Meet the HAYDEN FAMILY.
For over three years Tony has been FIGHTING CANCER. This fall he endured surgery that resulted in the removal of a sarcoma the size of a russet potato from his pelvic region.
Two weeks after surgery, Meredith gave birth to twin girls. Needless to say, big sister Caroline was thrilled!
The twins were a few weeks early resulting in time in the NICU. But about 8 weeks ago they were able to welcome them home. It was a new begining for the Haydens! Healthy twins, Tony's cancer gone and life moving forward.
Then December 8th came. After a persistant cough Tony asked his doctors to do a scan to see what was going on. On December 8th, Tony and Meredith heard the news that the cancer was back and this time throughout his lungs (20 + spots), and in his tailbone.
Typically when the body has cancer removed, it puts its energy back into healing itself. In 1% of cases, the body can put energy back into creating cancer. Sadly, Tony is in the 1%.
After additional scans and appointments the current prescription has been PRAYER. The Haydens family is still looking into potential options (though there are few) and discerning what to do next. At worst Tony has been given 100 days to live.
This page is set up to help assist the Haydens in a variety of ways. Be it funding family trips to create memories, easing additional financial burdens related to this diagnosis, creating funds for the girls, etc.
We ask that you join us in the act of financial support as a tangible way to love the Haydens in this time.
