Hayden Hamilton - Road to Recovery

Hayden Hamilton, a sophomore at Laurel High School and cornerback for the varsity Football team, was involved in a collision with a visiting team's running back, the impact fracturing the vertebrae in his neck.  The resulting injury had Hayden laying motionless on the field while medical personnel worked to isolate his spinal cord.  Hayden was life flighted to Pittsburgh's Children Hospital where he underwent a 9 hour surgery to isolate the fractured vertebrae and assess the damage to his spinal cord.
Hayden's road to recovery is a long and difficult one.  The family will need our thoughts, prayers, and financial support as their everyday life's focus will make a dramatic turn towards their son as he battles to recover.
