Hatzola -Replace Our Ambulance

It's 12:57am this Friday morning.  A patient convalescing in a Mother and Baby Home is in critical need of medical attention. Leaving the ambulance station, already with one Hatzola ambulance out on call, we hastily make our way to the scene. With our lights and sirens in use, we come to our very familiar Stamford Hill junction which we approach with utmost care. Then our worst nightmare unfolds; we become involved in a major Road Traffic Collision (RTC).

With our third ambulance responding swiftly to the initial call at the Mother and Baby Home, we no longer had at our resource another ambulance.  Our responders found themselves dependent on our colleagues in the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

All initial assessments indicate terrible news; H2, which was brought into service in 2007 as our second ambulance, and has faithfully serviced in excess of 10,000 emergency calls, is now a total write off.  With lengthy negotiations with insurance companies expected, we may see a minimal sum at the current road value of a 9 year old, heavily used ambulance.

'Patient Care' and 'Swift Response' is Hatzola’s trademark and something we will never compromise on. We cannot afford to leave the community without this ambulance, so that we are always adequately equipped to efficiently respond to the high volume of calls that we receive.

We are therefore appealing with this online campaign to members of the community, as well as our dear colleagues, friends and supporters worldwide, with an objective to quickly replace this vital lifesaving vehicle.
