Turn Your Back on Hate

On April 23, 2016, nine (and counting) Neo-Nazi hate groups are coming to Rome, GA for their annual "white rights" rally. They will stand outside of the police station downtown in an effort to bring solidarity to their groups after years of inner conflict. They will make speeches of hate, adorned in Neo-Nazi/KKK attire.
We can't stop them from coming but we can provide a much larger voice! We need to send a CLEAR message to our community that we do not share these hateful views. We need to send a CLEAR message to these groups that their agenda of hate has no place in this world.
Our plan is simple. We are making t-shirts for those who will commit to coming to this event. The front will say, "Turn Your Back on Hate" and the back will have a large heart with "Rome" in the middle. We will stand together completely SILENTLY, facing their rally. When the time comes to leave, we will turn our backs and walk away. From here we will travel to the entrance of Ridgeferry Park where we will make our entrance into the Rome Unity Festival. The festival will kick off with our arrival.
