Let's to do something fun for children who are chronically ill. Why not take them around the world "virtually" on a great adventure. Currently, I have a hobby of going to famous landmarks and snapping pics in a tiger outfit. There is only one reason for it...to make my friends and family smile at the antics (and maybe roll their eyes a bit) Just being goofy. I like to think of it as connecting humanity through happiness. But now I am creating an around the world adventure race, for everyone to follow, with special attention to the kids. Any child can become a Lil Tiger Team Explorer, however, we will provide sponsored explorer kits to the hospital kids at no expense to them. We will provide clues to each new country and famous landmark, the kids (and everyone) get to follow along via Instagram and Facebook, as part of the Lil Tiger Team Explorers. We will document the journey and post behind the scenes successes and mishaps. We will also do real time Instagram Live feeds, allowing the kids to participate in what pics we take. While Tig the Tiger currently posts daily, the actual adventure race will occur early fall and be a consecutive journey approx 3-4 weeks.
I do NOT need money for my travel, I am covering that personally. I do NEED help with covering the costs to make Lil Tiger Team Explorer kits (t-shirts, maps, band etc) that each child will receive. Our goal is to support 200 kids. We will provide this experience to Dell Children's hospital, specifically the cancer and dialysis units. As well, we hope to have some logistics folks, working hard behind the scenes. While anyone that participates will be volunteering (i.e. no one is getting paid) there are still some hard costs that the team will encounter.
