Hannah's LRTT Fellowship in Rwanda

I love teaching and firmly believe that every child has the right to a good education and a great teacher.

This summer, I am travelling to Rwanda to train teachers through the sharing of skills and best practice. This will enable them to improve their practice and therefore the education of the children within their school communities. Monies raised here will go towards costs of flights and resources.

So far, I have completed an 893km walk (the length of the Rwandan border) to raise sponsorship for this venture. There have been a number of various other fundraising events including cake sales, non-school uniform days, poster drops and I have had articles published in a number of local publications.

"90 million school children around the world can't read. Failure to provide high-quality education is a global learning crisis that's costing us $129 billion a year. The UN estimates 33 countries won't have enough teachers to provide every child with primary education by 2030. This means nearly 69 million teachers must be recruited and trained. "

Limited Resource Teacher Training connect qualified teachers to develop their own teaching practice to inspire and empower communities of teachers around the world.
