The Stuff a Duffel Project

Serena Croft, owner and operator of Sew Joyful Creations is looking to provide very unique and special items to children in need! I am currently raising money to buy the supplies I need to make pillowcases, blankets, hooded towels, and tote bags  forchildren who've been abused and neglected. The items will be given to One Church One Child, and distributed as part of the Stuff a Duffel project. Ang Malberg from One Church One Child stated that "Often times, when a child is removed from their home (after being abused and/or neglected) they leave with a trash bag in hand....if they have anything at all." I am a mother, and passionate about my own children. The thought of these precious children being hurt and mistreated by their own parents breaks my heart. And then, to be removed from their homes, with a few filthy, torn items in a trash bag....I cannot imagine the way those children must feel. Since I cannot change the horrific circumstances of their lives,I have made it my mission to give them something very special (and useful!) that was handmade by me. Every item I create is unique, and constructed with the utmost love and care. I want to show these children that there is much love to be given and had in this world, and even though their own parents didn't provide them the love and care they deserved, there are people who do care and are there to help. It deeply saddens me that these children were hurt/uncared for by the very people who should be loving them the most. They have no control over what's happened to them, and deserve to be shown much love and compassion. Any and all money I receive will be used to buy fabric, towels, pillows, sewing notions, books, socks, hygiene supplies and other supplies needed. Anyone who makes a donation will be given a thank you letter and receipt (including non-profit ID #) directly from One Church One Child (please email me for your receipt). I will also provide receipts showing what your donation helped to buy! Your donation can be tax deductible, and the receipt will include the tax ID # for One Church One Child.
