Hals abwärts gelähmt - helft Noah!

Ihr Lieben, wir haben euch unter Update/Neuigkeiten ein paar Zeilen hinterlassen... Alles Liebe
...ich würde alles dafür geben, diese Zeilen hier niemals schreiben zu müssen... Ich versuche es dennoch, weil es so viel helfen würde, dieses unfassbare Schicksal von unserem Noah wenigstens aus existenzieller Sicht ansatzweise erträglich zu machen. Emotional ist all das kaum auszuhalten... Bitte habt Verständnis, dass ich kein Foto von ihm einstellen kann - er liegt schwerstverletzt auf der Intensivstation...
Noah's Leben hat sich mit gerade mal 20 Jahren für immer und unwiderruflich komplett verändert. Er wurde von einer Straßenbahn überfahren - die anschließende Not-OP hat sein Leben gerettet, jedoch ist er ab sofort vom Hals abwärts gelähmt. Eine für uns alle noch immer nicht zu fassende Vorstellung, war er bis gerade noch ein extrem aktiver und lebensfroher junger Mann, der gerade sein Sportstudium in Jena beginnen wollte! Jetzt liegt er im dortigen Universitätsklinikum, hat noch mehrere Operationen vor sich und wir als Freunde wollen ihm und seiner Familie alle Hilfe zukommen lassen, die nur möglich ist.
Als Alleinerziehende von Noah's kleinem Bruder hat seine Mama wenig finanzielle Möglichkeiten, zumal wir alle gar nicht absehen können, ob sie jemals wieder arbeiten kann. Noah wird soviel brauchen, es fehlt mir allein am klaren Kopf alles aufzulisten... Zunächst wird es Therapien/Reha-Maßnahmen brauchen, dann wollen wir ihn natürlich irgendwie bei uns haben, sprich Umzug/Umbau wird ein Thema werden, dazu Pflegekräfte und Pflegemittel und vieles mehr. Es ist jetzt noch gar nicht abzusehen, was da alles auf uns zukommt - doch jeder Cent wird dringend gebraucht werden und einzig und allein Noah zukommen, da könnt ihr ganz sicher sein!!!

Paralysed from the neck down – please help Noah
...I would give anything in the world never to have to write these words… But still I am going to try, because it may help to make the incomprehensible fate of our Noah a little more bearable, at least from a material point of view. Emotionally, the pain is almost impossible to endure. Please understand that I cannot bear to download a photo of him here – at present he is in intensive care with massive injuries…
At just 20 years old, Noah's life has just completely changed forever. He was run over by a tram, and although an emergency operation straight after the accident saved his life, he is now paralysed from the neck down. It is still an inconceivable idea for all of us – up until a short time ago, he was an exceptionally active and cheerful young man who was just about to begin his sports studies in Jena. Now he is in the university hospital there, with several operations ahead of him. We, as his friends, want to give him and his family all the help we possibly can.
Noah’s mother is bringing up his little brother alone, so her financial resources are extremely limited, especially as it is unclear whether she will ever be able to work again. Even now it is impossible to list everything Noah is going to need... First of all there will be therapy and rehabilitation expenses. Then of course we want to keep him with us so that we can care for him, so either a move or extensive conversion work will be unavoidable. Then there are the costs of nursing and treatment products. At the moment it is impossible to predict what the future holds for us – but it is clear that every cent is needed urgently, and it will be spent on making Noah’s life as bearable as possible – you can be completely sure of that!!
