HALO Helicopter Walk to Calgary

Donation protected
Two members of Alberta Construction Safety Association's Medicine Hat Regional Safety Committee are going to undertake an epic odyssey from Medicine Hat to Calgary, without leaving their hometown. In an effort to raise funds for the community's HALO air ambulance rescue service, John Digman, Chair of the ACSA's MHRSC and MHRSC's Vice-Chair, Jason Wheeler will walk on a treadmill for 40 hours over the course of one weekend.

HALO is southeast Alberta's only medivac rescue helicopter and relies totally on private donations and community fundraising events.

The walk is taking place in the reception area of the City of Medicine Hat's Family Leisure Centre, starting on Friday May 25th and continuing through the weekend to end on the evening of Sunday, May 27th.

ABOUT THE MEDICINE HAT REGIONAL SAFETY COMMITTEE:
Here at the ACSA, our interaction with employers and employees in construction is enhanced by our eight Regional Safety Committees (RSC). The MHRSC is made up of volunteer representatives from construction and trades associations, contractors, suppliers, union reps, Worker's Compensation Board, Alberta government, along with individual worker members for the purpose of providing a communication link with the Association's Board of Directors.
