5mo Hali has been diagnosed with ectopic ureter.
This little bundle of happiness came to us highly incontinent at 11 weeks old - she peed us rivers pretty much! But she had such high energy and such a happy face, we wanted to do everything we could for her and some more..
So we started with a few tests... urine tests indicated she had some severe UTIs, Ultrasound showed she suffers from ectopic ureter and has an abnormally small kidney with the other compensating.
I guess amongst it all we had some positive news with the blood tests showing her kidneys were still viable at this stage.. a good $K and a half later.. we are not able to help her like we wish we could!
Simply put, we are looking at over $5-6K in surgery and with other dogs in rescue, we are trying our hardest at giving her the best shot whilst feeling like we are just failing her.. and this is not a good feeling..!
So we are now turning to the bigger community of dog lovers and caring people out there to help us help Hali and give her the best shot at a normal life.
