Hair-Raising Boy

Tax deductible
If you know Pietro, you know of his kind-hearted caring ways and his old soul of timeless love. It might come as no surprise that Pietro has been growing out his hair so he could donate it to a child with cancer.

The effects of hair loss in children goes deeper than just a change in a child’s appearance. Hair loss can erode a child’s self-confidence and limit them from experiencing life the way children should be able to. With an injured self-image, a child’s attitude toward treatment and physical appearance can negatively affect their mind and spirit. Pietro has the biggest heart and knows these kids are unable to fight cancer alone. He made the choice to do his part and help.

Pietro has decided to grow and cut his hair in memory of his Cousin Frank Giunta, Mr. Orazio Arrabito, Mr. Francesco Loccisano, Miss Olivia Boccuzzi and Little Princess Gianna Nicole all who have lost their battle against Cancer.

Not only does Pietro want to donate his hair but he also wants to raise awareness and funds for Giannanicolesheartofhope.org. Their mission and goals are to assist other families battling pediatric cancer and to enrich our community in ways that would honor their precious angel Gianna.  Pietro will have his hair cut in September, during Child Cancer Awareness Month at Salon Gio 8312 13th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11228.  More details to follow.
