A once in a lifetime opportunity has come my way!
For the past 6 1/2 years, makings soaps, lotions and creams, deodorants, lip balms, and other skin care treats has been my passion. During that time, I've maintained another full-time job, and tried to build my skin care line, Haiku Organics, in my spare time.
Being a single mom of two young boys, spare time isn't something that comes along quite often. For all my efforts, launching the company to the level where it can support my family has been difficult with my limited time and resources. I make my products in small batches, at home, with heart and soul going in to every batch. Whenever possible, I use local suppliers and locally grown ingredients, and even grow some of my own herbs and am working towards distilling of my own floral waters and essential oils.
An amazing opportunity has come along for for me! Each year there is a celebrity gifting event that takes place a few days before the Emmy awards. 3 months ago, I was contacted by the organizer of this event to gift my products to the celebrities that attend! The organizer came across my product line through a networking group I was a part of years a go. They were looking for a small artisan product maker just like me for the event. I will get meet the celebrities who want to use products, as use their pictures and testimonials in future marketing, and gain exposure within a market that will give me a huge potential for growth and visability!
Opportunities like this just don't come along very often. It's going to take a big budget, to make this happen! That's where you come in. The amount of product, packaging, shipping, travel, and other related expenses are something that I needed a lot more than six months time to prepare for financially. I'm running out of time and funds to pull this together. I don't want to let this opportunity be lost. I know lots of my friends are creative people with amazing ideas and big dreams.
