I am in dire need of dental work due to Sjogrens Syndrome damaging my teeth. I'm in pain, my face is swollen and I'm unable to eat. A dentist provided free xrays and a treatment plan. He stressed the dangers of not having the work done such as jaw bone infection, cardiovascular issues and brain abscesses. I'm a former nurse and nursing instructor now living on a small Social Security Disability amount . I've exhausted all available resources such as LSU Dental School, calling all dentists in the phone book and begging, applying for a loan etc. The work will be done over 11 visits and each visit is a different amount. The most urgent is an extraction for $105, but the next is $1114 and so on. I'm embarrassed, scared, and so many other negative horrible emotions...but the pain is the worst. Any help is appreciated more than I can ever express.
