RoboSquad's Road to Championship

Donation protected
We need your help to participate in the FIRST Robotics Championships in St.Louis, Missouri, April 26th- May 1st!

UASGC RoboSquad was started in 2015 by The Urban Assembly School for Global Commerce (UASGC).
UASGC is a title one Career and Technical Education (CTE) school located in East Harlem that serves 100% minorities. Students are given a head start in the work field by exposing them to careers in business and engineering. We are currently in our 3rd year of being a school and have approximately 220 students, many of them to be first generation graduates of high school and the first to go to college within their family.

Having a Robotics team helps connect STEAM related fields we learn in school to a real world events and activities. We learn electrical, mechanical and software engineering, as well how to collaborate with others and grow our creativity.

RoboSquad worked extremely hard for this year's NYC FIRST Robotics Competition and surpassed many challenges, such as losing our lead mentor and finding the tools and equipment to build a robot with a limited budget. Despite the challenges our team had its first year, made it all the way to the semi-finals and was awarded with the The Rookie All Star Award, which automatically enters us into the Championship event!

The Rookie All Star Award celebrates the rookie team exemplifying a young but strong partnership effort, as well as implementing the mission of FIRST to inspire students to learn more about Science and Technology.
We work with our local community and try to educate the younger students in middle school and elementary school about robotics and STEAM connections because we understand how important it is for our future success and growth.

Fundraising is not the easiest thing to do because we are such a small school located in Harlem and many local business do not have the funds to support us, which is why we are reaching out YOU!
The funds raised on here will help us pay for our registration fee, travel expenses, hotels, food, robot materials, team tee-shirts and other activities involved to compete in the Championship. A total estimated cost of $15,000.
The students on the team have worked extremely hard for this opportunity and the only thing standing in our way is the funds. Any donation made means a lot to us because it will bring us one step closer to participating in the championship.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please contact us for further information.
