If you know me, you know that I am currently in my Senior year at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago Illinois. You also will know that I have been massively graced by God while here and have also now been accepted to Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. This is a massively incredible blessing, so let me take a moment and tell you about it.
Since before even coming to Moody, I used to listen to the DTS Chapel Podcasts. I always thought how incredible it would be to go there and learn from some of the most brilliant theological minds that evangelicalism has to offer. So, I have wanted to go there since before I even came to Moody. It is with great excitement and happiness that I know I will be heading down to Dallas and starting classes in August. I feel like it is a dream come true. I will be going for my Masters in Theology with emphases in Jesus Studies and Systematic Theology. Eventually I will be pursuing Post-Graduate studies and will be studying for my PhD . The end goal being coming back to somewhere like Moody or Biola to teach men and women who want to go into minstry. This has been my goal all along and the longer I have been at Moody and experienced the great professors here that love us and care for us, I want to do the same for students in the future. Not only because future students having an adequate grasp on theology, the Word of God and Spiritual formation, will benefit those they minister to later, but also because iot is important that they know how it helps themselves, and that they think practically when it comes to theology.
So, I am expecting to have some financial aid and scholarships come through from Dallas, I was hoping to raise a year of tuition and fees, especially because I need to find a job when I get there as well, and I am also relocating from Chicago to Dallas. I am planning to work while I am there for at least 30 hours per week, but I wanted to start raising money for my education now, so it is ready to be paid when I arrive in Dallas. I really am doing this whole thing on my own (and I have done and paid for my undergrad education on my own - with really no help from family because none of them are able). If you are able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you all in advance. If you cannot donate, please keep me in your prayers, and share this page with others. Thanks again!
