Getting My Car Out Of Impound

Folks, here's the deal: my car got impounded on July 8 and I'm in a serious bind. I need to raise $750 to get my car out (which means paying five $73 citations and a $50 parking ticket, plus whatever the impound fee is). I have been living in my car for the past 18 months and this is what happens when I try to get ahead - and I'm still trying to survive in Los Angeles with no family to rely on. I'm 53 and came down here for a work transfer and to live with someone; the work transfer fell through and the person I was supposed to live with wasn't able to get here. So now I am literally STUCK in Azusa with nowhere else to go. Patronizing daily at a Starbucks with a revived laptop and am using this moment to tell people I could use some help.  Well? Can you? I would sincerely appreciate any help - even somewhere safe to stay until I am able to get my car (my belongings are still in it) or at least purchase something here I could live in . Would prefer my things and a place to stay so I can continue working. Anything made from this fund would go to another vehicle if I cannot get the car back. I work as a merchandiser and demonstrator here and would earn a good living if anyone is interested in taking me in for a short time until a more permanent arrangement can be made.

Do NOT care for substance abusers or people wanting to take advantage of me -- I had enough of that nonsense back in Northern California. I don't need it here. Very hard worker, very creative guy (songwriter, guitarist, videographer, writer), just trying to survive in a "dog-eat-dog" world.
