Single Moms Hope Foundation
As we head into the holiday season, I would like to encourage 150 single moms in our community that they are not forgotten. How does one person go about meeting the true needs of a single mom? Needs like, rent, childcare, transportation, healthcare, grocery bill, etc? By myself I can cover one of the above needs. But, what if there was a way to gather MANY single moms in one place and make an impact so profound that it could affect not just their holiday season but the rest of their parenting journey?
On December 6th, Moms of Destiny is throwing a Christmas party for 150 single moms. The party will include gorgeous holiday decor, a catered sit down meal, entertainment from a local highschool ballroom team, a nationally recognized guest speaker; Wendy Treat, with a message of hope and encouragement, a favor bag of cosmetics and 20 add'tl giveaways each valued at $50.00. But, the biggest surprise of all is when each of the 150 women are given the envelope YOU have gifted containing a crisp $100.00 bill! A gift that many would otherwise never know in this lifetime.
I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us today in loving on and giving hope to single moms. It's not "just a party", it's an afternoon spent encouraging and educating persons in our community that compassionate people, such as yourself, exist and are cheering them on. By myself I can accomplish little, but together WE can accomplish much!
Thanks for your love and support,

I have attended this event two times in my church. I love the opportunity it provides for us single moms. I am a single mom and I know the struggle is real for us . The inspiration that the church has been and the wonderful impact that living word has had on my daughter and my self is absolutely amazing and I am grateful and thankful for Lwbc. I have since become very blessed by God recently with a better paying job with better hours and great benefits it is all about your relationship with god and my relationship has grown in Christ more over the years with my attendance at Lwbc. Thanks for helping me be inspired. I want to give to the cause as the lord has given to me and I just started my journey at the new job. So when I get all my finances in order I will sponser a mom. Thank you living word and thank you Jesus .
I am a 24 yr old single mom after leaving my abusive ex husband, and I can honestly say the best thing you can do "temporarily" to help single moms, is to provide funding options to get Cars, Education and to allow children to accompany this party. Cars is almost the Biggest problem we single moms face as we have to deal with broken down cars that are unsafe to drive and prevent us from going to work and childcare and groceries. Funding an education allows us to get out of poverty and look for better prospects. Child friendly nights is almost a 100% guarentee that all moms will come to the party or any event for that matter. Most of the time, we don't have ANYONE to help us, including no one to watch the children, to go on dates, night out, events such as this. Anyways, I hope all this information helps you with some more ideas that will hopefully help the SM's in your area. I think the best program out there is a program that doesn't just "take care of the symptoms" of povery. (food stamps, benefits) but instead "teaches us out of poverty". Good luck and God Bless You
Grateful for Pastor Holly & her team who have a heart for moms! Much love!
