Help the Gardners post gay bashing

My wife and I are a lesbian couple living in Arkansas with a four month old son. My wife is a classical musician and professor and I am a novelist.
On the morning of June 10th my wife and I went outside to see that someone anonymous had scratched the word ‘DYKE’ into the side of our car in one foot by two foot letters. Within the next few days this person returned to write ‘Trump 2020’, ‘Devil’s Whore’, ‘Acts 3:19’ and to draw a swastika in the hood. As of now there is nowhere except the roof of the car that has not been disfigured. He also returned once to urinate on our front door.
This has been a time of honest fright for us. We don’t know who this person is and while we have worked closely with the police, he still has not been caught. We don’t know if he could decide to become violent next.
Our car wasn’t exactly new, nor was it perfect but it was ours. It was how we got from point one to two, it safely carried our baby from here to there. Now our insurance agent says that the scratches would cost more to fix than the car is worth as they are so deep they have been scratched into the metal of the car. So now we’re left with a new baby, no car, and are pouring all of our reserve finances into a sudden move to a new place to live before this person decides to get violent.
Normally we would find a way to cover the cost ourselves but in this situation we find ourselves financially buried by this unexpected event We’re asking for help to replace the no longer drive-able car with another used car. We understand that everyone has struggles in their lives and as humbling as it is to do so, we just ask that if you feel so inclined to help we would be very thankful.
