Katterine's Medical/Legal Fund

I am seeking financial support for medical and legal expenses on behalf of my former student Katterine and her family. Katterine spent the last week in the hospital due to appendicitis.  

Due to their legal status, Katterine's family does not have access to health insurance, and must pay for a costly appendicitis surgey and hospital stay out of pocket. Additionally, they are currently facing legal expenses in order to prevent threats of deportation against Katterine. 

I would love to lessen the financial burden on this family that has undergone tremendous challenges to educate their daughter in the safety of the US. Katterine is an extremely bright, kind, and dedicated student, and getting to know her and her family on a personal level has been a privilege.
