Lifesaving surgery for Frankie Rose
She had endured 10 weeks of brutal chemotherapy, she has lost 9 kg, her hair but most importantly her spirit. Despite this the tumour has tripled in size. We were today advised that she needs radiotherapy immediately.
The treatment is only available in the USA and although available on the NHS protocol means that funding/paperwork takes at least 8 weeks to produce and time is not on our side. So this is not an option for us.
The only way to save our baby with a 100% guarantee that the cancer will not return is by raising £160k in the next few weeks.
We cannot sit by, we need to do something right now and we need your help.
Please donate and tell your friends, bosses, colleagues and everyone else you talk to.
Amazing thanks to all nhs staff at royal marsden hospital, kings college hospital, queen Elizabeth in woolwhich. The support as you've held our hands these last weeks has been inspirational. You've imprinted on my heart, and madly Frankie-rose looks forward to the visits to see the staff. Special thanks to all the nurses you are so special, and it all starts with a smile and a kind word, also to Chris Chandler you give us confidence, to Stergeios Zacharoulis for knowing when to stop, for Henry mandleson for giving us hope and Ildica Shuller for not giving up xxxx you are an amazing team and I'm glad we have met you all. To friends and family thank you will never be enough, who,d have thought it, hearts of gold and We love you all. To friends of friends and strangers all around the world I am truly humbled by your kindness and ask that you keep yr fingers crossed. Roll on 2015 I can't wait to see you. Xxx
Any other contributions will go towards Frankie Rose's care and for anything she is going to need in the aftercare of her treatment.
Love to all the Lea family from us all x
It is amazing and on the families behalf a massive thank you to everyone who has donated.
If you want to keep giving then please do as it will all go towards Frankie's care and the families well being during her treatment.
Give her CBD oil. It's the best and most inexpensive cure. Has saved many kids. Here is a story of one of them. http://www.bravemykayla.com/
Frankie rose has now returned to the UK.. We had the most amazing time in Disney and universal, Florida making some fantastic memories that will be cherished and never forgotten. She has completed her treatment and is this morning attending her first boot camp in dance. She could not wait to see her friends. She is not completing steady on her feet but the main thing is she up walking and getting stronger every day. Oklahoma became our home from home and will always hold a special place in our hearts. It is surreal to be back, it's harder to just get on here. In the USA it felt like treatment done cancer gone, here it feels very real again. As always we are smiling and trying to keep it normal for the kids, it's not always easy but the alternative is to have a melt down and that's not gonna help anyone. MRI tests will be done in the very near future, which should indicate some progress, by no means over but ready for round 2. The leas xxx
www.facebook.com/endoftreatmentbells I am glad to say that Frankie-Rose 'graduated' from the Procure Centre on Wednesday 21st January 2015 .. although unfortunately I don't have any news on her condition. At the end of her treatment Frankie-Rose will have rung 'The end of treatment bell' in the lobby at the Procure Centre .. A great achievement! X My daughter also rang the bell, in March 2014 and continues to do well .. Since we returned to the UK, we have introduced similar bells to 13 UK Children's Hospitals (so far), so that many more children here will hopefully get to ring them out loud in the future .. Hi all - the Just Giving page has been closed down on the instruction of Frankie-Rose's family. An additional £1,665 was raised there (figure includes £396.75 in Gift Aid). These funds will be held for Frankie-Rose's needs. The family have decided they do not need the support of the Tree of Hope charity at this time but I would like to thank the charity for their assistance and advice over the past weekend. Thanks again for donating. Clare x
