Medical Care for Grace Kamara

Donation protected

This is Grace Kamara, a 2 year old Liberian girl who lives in the Capitol Bypass area of Monrovia.  She was born with a retinoblastoma, which is a tumor within her right eye.

She was examined at the John F. Kennedy hospital by an Opthalmologist and he has recommended that she be treated in Ghana, by a Pediatric Opthalmologist.  The treatment consists of 8 rounds of chemotherapy, as well as surgery to remove the tumor.   Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra has provided us with the estimated cost for treatment and hospitalization.  The treatment will require Grace and her mother to stay in Ghana for approximately six months.  We are trying to raise the money for Grace's treatment, as well as the cost of airfare to and from Ghana, and the cost of lodging for her mother.
