Buddy needs help

Buddy is a wonderful cat, first rescued from the dumpster of an Asian restaurant.
Buddy chose us. When searching for a ginger cat at the shelter, Buddy would not be ignored. And so it was that this wonderful boy came home with us.
Buddy now has his own Facebook page, and many people enjoy his daily memes. He's also a very kind and generous kitty, giving donations in his name to help feral cats not as lucky as he is.
Buddy means the world to his cat mom and dad. The kids are grown and out of the house, so Buddy is their baby boy.
But a few days ago Buddy stopped eating, something definitely out of the ordinary for this cat. It turns out that he appears to have an intestinal blockage, and surgery may be required to be sure and hopefully correct the situation so Buddy can return to his chipper self.
The unexpected expense of multiple vet visits and possible surgery presents a hardship this time of year. We are asking for help to get Buddy back to 100 percent as soon as possible.
