The road must keep going
About 4 weeks ago my beautiful wife started having bad chest and stomach pains. First ER trip they did nothing. Family doctor diagnosed her with "stomach flu Second ER trip a week later did nothing. Family doctor this time ordered a CT scan. Insurance denied it 6 days later about a half hour before we were scheduled to go in we got that call. So after a full month of all this she sees her ob/gyn and is informed she has an 11 cm cyst that is more than likely cancerous and require immiediate surgery. We are scheduled to go to Iowa City Hospitals tomorrow (7/19) for a consult and then possibly a full hystorectomy.
My family of 5 has suffered financially greatly and is going to for quite sometime. It breaks my heart to know that I can not support them financially like a father and husband should. I hope i am not coming off as greedy but this is reality. We both have no family that is in any position to help so this is what we are left with. Trust me, if i had another option I would do it. I dont like having to do this.
All i want to do is focus on her recovery but alas, money is the root of all evil/stress. The number i have posted is not an exageration but is what i can figure looking at our bills and that is just to get by.
If you can help, great. If not then thank you anyways and at least share it. Judge as you may, when it comes to family I will do WHATEVER i can to make sure they are taken care of.
