Guitar Concerto #2 Mark Francis Recording

I am Mark Francis.  I have been selected by Parma Recordings to partner with them on the recording and release of my Second Guitar Concerto, "In Somnis Veritas."  The title means "in dreams there is truth." The work is being recorded in Athens, Greece by the Athens Philharmonia, conducted by Michalis Economou.  The soloist will be Dimitris Kotronakis .   

 Parma Recordings works with composers to record and release their work.   The works are selected by Parma and the performers.  The costs of the project are shared between the composer and Parma Recordings.

The selection committee said the following about my concerto:

"Wonderful Concerto, well written, extremely effective, original and personal, knowledgeable orchestration allows appropriate balance between guitar soloist and the orchestra, piece which should be brought to a wide audience."

This is the first time I have had an opportunity to have any of my orchestral works be recorded by a professional orchestra and released internationally. 

I am applying for grants and have put some of my own money into the project.  The money raised here will be used to to defray the remaining costs of editing, artwork, pressing and marketing of the recording .  The recording is scheduled for release in October or November.
