2018 GTAA Lake Tenkiller Fireworks
It's time to start planning to attend the 2018 Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza on beautiful Lake Tenkiller. The show will take place on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 on the south end of the lake around dusk. This year’s show will once again be shot from the Tenkiller State Park Sanitary Lagoon Area, which is just north of the campgrounds on the right as you enter the park. The area between the two big islands should afford excellent viewing. In addition, the shoot site is somewhat higher in elevation than the site on the dam that we have used on past years, so there should be excellent viewing in the central part of the lake, perhaps as far north as Cookson Bend and Sixshooter. Most of the shots should also be visible from Gore and Webbers Falls.
This event is funded solely by donations from businesses and individuals like you who have a genuine interest in seeing that this fireworks tradition continues for the enjoyment of both lake visitors and surrounding communities. We are hopeful that you will be able to once again make a donation to help us present this show.
The 2018 Lake Tenkiller Fireworks Extravaganza should be the best fireworks display ever for the Lake Tenkiller area! We truly appreciate all of you who sponsor this event and our lake association. If not for people like you caring about our lake, the fireworks display would not be possible for the thousands of visitors who view it.
All levels of contributors, from one star to five stars will be listed in the 2019 Greater Tenkiller Lake Visitors Guide as a fireworks contributor. See the 2016 Visitors Guide on page 35 for a listing of those who made last year's display possible. For 2018, we are again offering five special categories for sponsorships. See attached sheet for all the details.
5 star - $1000 and up (company name and logo on contributors page in guide)
4 star - $ 500 to $999 3 star - $ 250 to $ 499 2 star - $ 100 to $ 249 1 star - $ 50 to $ 99
The GTAA lake association promotes tourism in the Greater Tenkiller Area. Regardless of what day the 4th of July falls on, the GTAA will hold the fireworks show on July 4th. Our hope is that you plan extra vacation time and "stay and play" in this beautiful lake area as long as possible. Visit our many marinas, restaurants, locations for sightseeing, Illinois River, historic Tahlequah and great fishing spots like Greenleaf Lake and Lower Illinois trout stream.
