A Public Restroom in Garberville CA

Donation protected
A long overdue public restroom at the Town Square in Garberville will be constructed and maintained with your contributions here. Garberville is an unincorporated small town about 65 miles south of Eureka, California, on highway 101, nestled in the heart of the redwoods in Humboldt County.  Being unincorporated and rural, there are no local government options to build and maintain public restrooms, so a local group, the Garberville Redway Public Restroom Working Group (GRPRWG ), formed three years ago to help remedy the lack of Public Restrooms in Garberville and in the adjacent small community of Redway. GRPRWG has recently partnered with the privately funded Garberville Town Square organization to fundraise, build and create a maintenance plan for an ADA compliant, public restroom for everyone's use.

GRPRWG is umbrellaed under Women's Crisis Shelter in Southern Humboldt (WISH), a registered non-profit, which serves as our fiscal sponsor. Donations can also be made, in person, at the Community Credit Union, 757 Redwood Dr., Garberville, CA 95542: donate there under the “WISH” donation account-51/ Public Restroom Group.

Our basic needs unite us and bring to light our humanity. Your contribution to this project will contribute to the public health of our area and help all residents and visitors with a better quality of life. Please contribute and then come and enjoy the natural beauty and awe of the redwoods. And while here, visit the Town Square and eventually enjoy a wonderful and well-maintained restroom.
