Congressional App challenge trip

As San Diego's only high school winners of the Congressional App Challenge , we Grossmont High School students and chaperones have been invited to #HouseOfCode, a reception held with Congress in Washington DC! Our winning web application named Planner App, is designed to help Students of all ages in school. We want to make applications and websites in the future and make life easier. This is a huge step for us towards our goals and the start of our future careers. Any donation helps a ton!

We've been invited for the purpose of having our work honored, meet Congressional Representatives and important members of the tech community, and see our work displayed in Congress.
The reception will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, however, we hope to make flight and hotel arrangements at least 60 days prior before prices change, hence the need for a rapid funding cycle.

The expenses breakdown as follows:
$2,000- Plane Flights, $400 per individual
$3,000- 3 rooms, 4 nights, $250 per room nightly
$1,000- Estimated taxis, meals, incidentals
$250- Covers 5% fee charged by GoFundMe



Our itinerary is as follows
Saturday, April 1- Fly to DC
Sunday, April 2- Visit historical sites
Monday, April 3- Attend App Challenge Programming and meet other winners!
Tuesday, April 4- Show our work to Congress!
Wednesday, April 5- Fly home
