Greenspun Robotics to VEX Worlds!

Team 11110 the Greenspun Robotic Dolphins need your support!

CCSD (Clark County School District) is not only the fifth largest, but also one of the lowest performing school districts in the entire nation. Unfortunately, only a little more than half of the district's students ever receive a high school diploma. There's great need for educational innovation here in Las Vegas, which provides for great opportunity. At Greenspun Junior High School one of these opportunities comes in the form of robotics.

Our VEX IQ Robotics team, the Greenspun Robotic Dolphins just won the State Championship Tournament and have been invited to represent the state of Nevada in the 2017 VEX Robotics Worlds Competition this April in Louisville, Kentucky.

 Our team has worked incredibly hard this season to earn their successes. They were recognized with the  team Excellence Award at both competitions they attended this year, along with the Robot Skills award for both driving and programming skill. Through this tenacious work, these students have not only earned success in the form of trophies and accolades, but success in the form of developing the necessary critical-reasoning and problem-solving skills that will help make them the most productive and economically competitive in today’s high-tech, high-skill global marketplace.

By supporting the Greenspun Robotic Dolphins in getting to Kentucky to compete in Worlds, you are not only helping to pay for their flights, hotel accomodations, meals, and transporation. When these students see your donation you will be telling them that what they have accomplished this year is important. In sending them this message, you are confirming that STEM skills are a vital part of their education and should continue to be developed.
