Green Dog Rescue Project was hit hard this morning by a flash flood.  The whole building was under several inches of water, ruining carpet, dog beds, blankets, crates, furniture and walls.  Luckily, all dogs are fine and we have a terrific team of volunteers cleaning up the mess but need money to replace and/or repair the ruined items.

We appreciate anything you can do to help the dogs.

Thank you very much for everyone who has donated and helped with the clean up. Even though the rain is continuing, we think the sandbags will hold so we will avoid additional flooding. Although many of our immediate needs have been addressed, we still need help in the long term replacing items such as office supplies, treadmills, bark for the play yard and shedding. Thank you again for all of your help.

The Green Dog Rescue Project wishes to express our absolute gratitude for the "flood" of support you are all sharing. As we continue our clean up efforts and assessment of the damages and loss, your donations have helped us remain positive and inspired. The dogs are warm and enjoying the benefit of new beds and bedding, jackets and special goodies! Although we have reached our $20,000 goal to replace our furnishings, computers, medical supplies, beds, blankets, toys, etc. and to repair the damages to floors and walls, an additional $10,000 (making our total goal $30,000) would also allow us to purchase new "Dog Sheds" for our large dog quarantine runs which would provide warmer, dryer, and raised outdoor private yards for those dogs awaiting their introduction to the pack. Thank you ALL for your generosity, compassion, and continued support. Follow us on Facebook and watch how your donations impact the lives of so many! -Colleen Combs, Founder-Green Dog Rescue Project
