Graphic Design DJCAD - New Designers 2019

Donation protected
We are the Graphic Design Class of 2019 at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, a part of the University of Dundee, and we are entering our fourth and final year of study.

In July 2019, we hope to take a team of our most talented designers down to the prestigious D&AD New Blood Festival in London. The week-long festival is the perfect opportunity for young, vibrant, up and coming designers to showcase their talent to industry professionals and to take their first steps into the professional world.

We want to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to attend and share their passion for creativity, regardless of financial circumstances.

The number of designers that we are able to support and take to the festival is completely dependent on how much funding we are able to secure.

A stand which accommodates 7 designers’ work at the exhibition will cost £1755.

We hope to take a minimum of 14 designers, and potentially up to 21, if we are able to secure enough funds to support this number.

This means we are aiming to fundraise a total of £5265.

So far, we have raised a total of £2480.

Any surplus funds raised will go towards covering travel costs to the festival and exhibition costs for our annual Degree Show.

Over the academic year we have achieved a range of fundraising activities and events to help us reach our goal. These included selling Valentine’s Day cards, Christmas cards and decorations at seasonal markets alongside hosting social events throughout the year.

Additionally, we would be exceptionally grateful for any kind of support or assistance you may be able to provide us.
