Fire Destroys Artist's Studio

Donation protected
Newstory here

Last week a fire devastated Plumpton artist Grant De Jonge’s studio destroying many valuable paintings, canvases and materials as well as the building itself. Over the years Grant has worked tirelessly on many community art projects, fund-raised, donated several of his works to good causes and has volunteered his time and skills to help and inspire others. For example he paints all the panto sets for free, helps at the holiday clubs, has painted the Scout HQ, raised £7,500 for the Philippines in a Village art auction and provided many an attractive piece of art to make our village that bit more beautiful, from the station to the Half Moon. Now it’s our turn to help him get back on his feet! Our target is to raise at least £2,000 and every donation, however large or small will help. If you have any materials to donate or are skilled in woodwork, electrics or building it would be really appreciated if you could pitch in to help Grant. Please contact him via his Facebook page if you can offer practical support or donate money via this page
