Graeme & Zeyad's Robotics Fund

Hello potential individual and corporate sponsors. Our names are Graeme Watt and Zeyad Sallam and we are Grade 8 students in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are The Dynamic Robotic Duo and are involved in an international organization called First Lego League or FLL for short. There are four components to each FLL competition: core values, project, robot design, and the Robot Game. At our qualifying competition, we received the award for Core Values, which was a huge honour as this award is given to the team that exemplifies all aspects of the Core Values of FLL.  We went on to compete at Provincials March 4th at Acadia University and placed 4th in the Robot Game and were one of the overall top teams in all other components of the competition. Based on our performance at Provincials, we were nominated by the judeges as one of only a few teams to have the opportunity to compete at an international event at the University of Bath in Bath, England in June 2017.

We want to attend the event but know that it won't be  possible without financial support. We need to raise about $8,000 in total for our team to be able to attend. Registration ends May 1st so we need to raise money as soon as possible.

Both of us want  to be engineers in the future and are really into STEM activities. We both have been or are involved in Martial Arts, school band, Lets Talk Science, as well as student council at  our junior high.  We are very excited about the opportunity to represent our city, province, and country at an international robotics competition and hope that we can reach our overall fundraising goal to get there.
