Grace-Guatemala mission trip
Donation protected
Grace Community Church in North Liberty Iowa has a team of 16 travelling to Guatemala June 28 - July 5 on a mission trip. They will be serving with Bethel Ministries International. www.bethelministriesinternational.com
Throughout the week, the team will do the following:
1. Build 3 metal homes for families in great need.
The homes will include a triple bunk bed, a fuel efficient wood stove, and a concrete floor. The families generally sleep on the dirt floor or on wood pallets. Their current stoves are highly inefficient and are not vented. Many of the homes are built for widowed or abandoned mothers with children.

2. The team will also participate in 2 wheelchair distributions. At each of these events, over the needy will receive a free wheelchair.
In all, over 100 wheelchairs will be distributed!
Guatemala has no safety net to provide mobility for the poor. We also partner with Mission: Mobility who collects and provided wheelchairs to Bethel. Check out this video to experience a wheelchair distribution.
3. We will also be doing food and clothing distributions throughout the week.
4. Our team will be serving high in the mountains where it is chilly even in the summer. We hope to provide 25 blankets or more if fundraising allows.

5. Throughout the week the team will encounter many uncovered needs. It is our intention to help whenever possible with these needs. Examples: stove needed, school sponsorship needed, medical procedure needed
These projects are all with the focus to ultimately share the Gospel through word and deed.
The team has been responsible to raise funds to pay for all of these projects. Our fundraising efforts have been for PROJECTS only. Team members provided their own personal expenses for the trip.
We need a final $5,000 to help reach our goal to be fully funded.
Please consider becoming a part of our mission.
Thank you!
