Grace is a beautiful happy 1 year old born with Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disease, and has had a failed Kasai surgery already. She now is at Phoenix Children's Hospital in the ICU where she waits for a liver transplant to save her life. Her status right now is 1B on the waiting list for transplants. If anyone is interested in becoming a living donor to save Grace's life they can apply at StanfordHealthCareLiverDonor.org . It is very important she gets a transplant soon. The money raised will go to her and her parents to help them with expenses during this time and after. Grace is a very happy baby despite spending most of her life sick, in hospitals, doctors, on feeding tubes, pumps, a pick line, many different medications and multiple complications because of her illness she still remains a very happy playful 1 year old. She still can't really crawl totally yet or walk and still hasn't really gotten to learn how to eat real food because she has been on a feeding tube for so long. She now gets nutrition from T.P.N. via her pick-line which is a port directly into her heart through her vein. She still loves to play with her toys, watch Peppa Pig and Sesame Street, and read books with mommy and daddy just like any other 1 year old. Since she's spent so much time in hospital beds she has become a big fan of You Tube and her favorite band is Twenty-one Pilots.- Just a quick update - Grace received her new liver march 18th and she is finally home and doing great. You can follow her on Facebook to see how she's doing.
