The orphaned babies and other horses at Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang (WIN dba Chilly Pepper) need your help now!!!!
Roy is an example of one of the hundreds of orphans we save every year. His mama died and he was alone on the range, most likely waiting to be a snack for a coyote.
He was rescued and that is where we come in. Sadly, most of our orphans are from bands that have been sent to slaughter.
We currently have 12 orphans, 6 yearlings, 18 adults and various other critters that we have rescued. Most of these will be available for adoption, although some are special needs and permanent residents.
But WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW! EACH baby drinks approximately $300 worth of Foal Lac per month. On top of that, they need clean shavings for their stall every night. They need hay, grain and most every orphan we get needs some sort of veterinary care or medication.
We spent well over $1500 to purchase the badly injured foal and mare that we saved just days ago. The last group of starving horses we picked up had thousands in vet bills, and we are now re-feeding 5 who were starving or nearly starved. They all needed medical care and some are still receiving it.
It costs a fortune, and we need to get ready for July and the new rescues that will be coming in.
In our world, it simply never stops. We need to have the funds available for the next rescue, but even more importantly, we need to be able to provide the care that these animals deserve.
