Hello,
My name is Destiny Nash from Chevak, Alaska. I have retina pegmontosa, inherited degenerative eye disease that causes severe vision impairment. I have had this condition since birth and my vision is progressivly getting worse. Currently my acuity is 20/200 in my left eye and 40/200 in my right eye, I will eventully lose all of my vision.
Even though Alaska is a beautiful state, I have never left Alaska, my dream has been to travel to the lower 48 and see the West Coast. I will need to stay at hotels along the way and I can not drive so plan to use public transportation. I would like to visit Seattle, Portland and California on my way down the West Coast. I also hope to visit the National Parks along the way. Depending on how many resources I can generate, I would like to expand my visit to maybe NY, Florida, Washington D.C. I am 18 years old and I am uncertain how much longer I will have my vision. Please help me make my dream of traveling the U.S come true.
