I, Jason Robert Champion am a single father,raising 2 sons. Alexander 6 yrs. old currently in Remission from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia & in his 3 rd year out of Chemo treatment along with his younger brother Jason Robert Champion II just 5 yrs old. Young Jason was a Happy,healthy child up until January 5,2016 when he started vomiting, & not feeling well. I took him to his P.C.P. who stated he had a viral infection & said he could return to school. Days passed & Jason still was not feeling well. We returned to the P.C.P. the next week to still get NO ANSWERS, to whats wrong but did get a note to return to school. All I knew was my son was still not feeling well, Vomiting, saying his head hurts, countinued to have weight loss of almost 12 pounds, sleeping all the time, being lethargic,loosing his color,still not eating. I Decided to take him to the local E.R. where they did blood work,urine,nasal swab,stomach x~ray to check for blockages, & THEY FOUND NOTHING. He again was cleared to return to school. All the while still Trying to figure out what is going on??? I decided another E.R. trip. on January 28 th to find out he had an extremely bad Middle Ear Infection, E.R. Doctor gave him an antibiotic shot, amoxil, 250mg. for ten day, medicine for his vomiting. Another Note for school return. Finally,I started thinking he was on his way to RECOVERY!!! Days into his medicine treatments Jason still had NOT gotten better as we HOPED.All his symptoms continued, but he told Grandma he see's 2 of everything from his left eye. Add that to my other concerns I had. Being SO VERY FUSTRATED I AGAIN took Jason to the E.R. on Feb. 2,2016 where they now diagnosed him with ......MIGRAINES....... WHAT ????? I thought REALLY???? .....MIGRAINES in a 5 yr. old, Previously HEALTHLY CHILD. But I knew SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG WITH MY CHILD & it WAS NOT MIGRAINES.... I MUST FIND OUT WHAT is REALLY WRONG WITH MY SON !! I got a refferal to see a NEW Pediatric Doctor on Feb.8th. Finally maybe someone will listen to me about my son & the CONCERNS I had. Finally Monday got here & I met with the Doctor. I told him Jason had been sick for 32 days and something is SO SERIOUSLY WRONG & my THOUGHTS I had. A CT SCAN was IMMEDIATLEY done & it Confirmed My WORST NIGHTMARE AGAIN IN MY younger son. A BRAIN TUMOR. He was moved from my local hospital & transported to L.S.U. Shreveport Louisiana, 111 miles from our home where we are awaiting brain surgery to remove the tumor off the base of his brain & spinal cord on Friday Feb.12,2016. All this while my 6 yr. old son Alex is at home being cared for by family. We are already living on a fixed disability income, after beating cancer with Alex. This has already put us in greater finincial situation as there is Not much left over from paying rent, and lights and buying things the boys need each month. Anything donated would help off set fuel travel cost of 222 miles round trip between home & hospital & any other expenses this family may incure while being away from home & in the hospital with Jason. Grandma & PopPop have been traveling between home & hospital, as the boys & I have No transportation at the present time. All this has put an even harder hit to them as he is also recovering from Lung Cancer surgery in December 2015 & living on limited disability income each month.
