Last year, 54-year old Dino Longoria's stroke left him with minor brain damage and most of his right side paralyzed. He is being cared for here in Alaska by his family and wife Lori.
In late May this year, the US FDA is holding trials in Arizona for a promising procedure that uses stem cells (from adult donors) to reverse damage identical to Dino's. Medicaid helps support his care in Alaska, but will not contribute to care given Outside.
This cutting-edge treatment, which has already produced excellent results in Europe, holds tremendous hope for Dino and other folks like him here in America. Doctors testing the procedure here need people just like Dino–young, otherwise in good health, and with a positive attitude.
We need your help. Although the trial itself is free, the required five flights to Arizona for a series of short doctor visits are not. Lori will be at his side, having taken unpaid leave. Costs they're facing include airfare, accomodations, physical therapy, special transportation, and food.
We're excited! This is an extraordinary opportunity to help our beloved Dino get back on his feet, while getting this treatment to others who need it. Thank you!

Your donation, of any amount, gets us closer to our goal and means so much to us–we're in this together!
