Help Banks

Saturday evening (Feb. 6th, 2016), unbeknownst to me at the time, my indoor/outdoor cat was taken or lured into the hands of a horrible human being. Sunday morning he stumbled home up the back deck with a broken jaw, puncture wound in his back, and a golf ball size lump on his chest (later I learned this was a hematoma from being hit so hard).

After taking him to the vet, I learned that what happened to him was deliberate and not the cause of an animal fight or car, there were no other apparent wounds that would suggest anything other than a deliberate cruel act at the hands of a human.  The vet said that this is the worst case he had seen in over 15 years.

Banks had a fractured jaw, dislocated TMJ, puncture wound in his back, and a hematoma on his chest. The doctor was able to perform surgery to realign his jaw, and brought a specialist in to look at the TMJ and put it back into place.  He also placed a drainage tube in his back to drain any infection from the puncture wound.

Banks is only 2 years old and loves everyone and everything, he now has 6 months of recovery ahead of him, including being TUBE FED! I’m doing what I can to help him, but the bills have really added up (+$3,500), and I still have about $600 to $1,000 more to pay just to get him in the clear - so I’m asking for a little help.

My baby kitty and anyone’s animal for that matter does not deserve this.
