Fat Cat Music - Chasing A Dream

Fat Cat Music Center is the culmination of a longtime dream.  As a nearly lifelong musician, I always hoped to make a career in music, both performing and providing quality musical products to aspiring artists.  I've been playing in bands for years, but last year, I had the opportunity to buy an existing music store, rebrand it and begin to chase the second portion of my vision.  So, I left what many would call a great job in the corporate world, borrowed from what little 401k I had amassed, and here we are!
I wanted to create a place where the next generation of players could get quality gear at a great price, as well as a destination shop where seasoned musicians could find some cool pieces.  Every instrument that leaves our shop goes through my hands.  I make sure I'm happy with it before it goes home with an excited new owner.  I want every customer to get the best fit for their needs and desires and I take the time to work with them until they are satisfied.  We are not a big box store, but we can compete with them.  We carry great brands and a good variety, but you get a much more personal experience with us.  And, to really get new musicians headed down the path to success, we offer in store music instruction as well!
To really impress, we need to expand our inventory and product offerings even further.  As a new business, banks and lending institutions are not very interested in helping us.  Even though the store has proven itself prior to my purchase of it, we are new in their eyes and I understand that.  This is where I hope you'll help me continue to chase my dream.
I want to build a place that inspires creativity and brings a new generation of music makers to the world and keep working musicians of today working.  We are creating a website to allow us to compete globally, and we will, but today, we are focused on getting this model right.  Once we have created a unique musical experience, we will open more locations and perhaps even franchise.  For now, lets get phase one of the dream right!  Please take a look at my brief video for a closer look.  Also, visit us on Facebook.  And, thanks for your consideration!
