Giving Back to Webb the Wonderdog

For the past 2 years, I have had the most amazing opportunity to work with our Facility Dog, Webb, at the Menlo Park VA, where I care for Veterans living with dementia and other chronic physical and neurocognitive illnesses. Many of you have seen my regular postings of Webb doing his thing and just having fun. Webb has been a huge part of the healing process for our Veterans and is so totally unconditional with his love.  I have also had the individual pleasure and honor of puppy-sitting my buddy and having him bring so much fun to my mom and me at home! Recently, Webb was suddenly losing his eyesight and it was discovered he has a tumor in his brain sitting right on the area of the brain that controls eyesight.  He was started on steroids with the hope of some healing. We also kept praying for him. His most recent check-up has determined the tumor has shrunk enough that he is a candidate for radiation treatment!! He will be starting treatments at UC Davis in December and has a good prognosis for remission.  Webb's human family found out they will be shouldering the costs of all treatment, and I am reaching out to you all for help with the estimated costs of his treatments and care. He has given so much, and now it is time to give back to this wonderful dog.  My prayer is for our community to show Webb and his family how much he is loved and appreciated for what he has done for our Veterans. Please help us get him and his family through this next phase of treatments starting in December by lifting some of the financial pain from their shoulders.
