We have many students from various backgrounds at our urban school. Our school has over 90% free and reduced price lunch students so my students face a lot of challenges.
The Westport Orchestra boasts one of the most technologically advanced Orchestra's in the country! With the addition of the Rock N' Warhawks Electric Orchestra the Westport Orchestra has gained local popularity. We want to make music everywhere we can and bring joy to those that see us! Our mission is an expensive one and we can use any help that is available to help us along the way!

We have been dubbed "The most technologically advanced orchestra program in the world" by several notable string educators and performers to include the inventor of the electric violin, Mark Wood. The technology behind what we are doing is astounding and is very demanding on the computer that is running it. Currently we are using my personal laptop which can barely run the show. It has even crashed on a few occasions, and that's a little embarrasing when we are out performing.
The laptop controls sound effects, lights, patch changes, monitoring of the mix, and even cues click-tracks for the rhythm section.
The computer we need is a Mac Pro Desktop by Apple. These top-of-the-line computers can handle multiple tasks without even a blink. We need this kind of reliablity when we are performing at shows. These computers are designed for audio and video production and I want to be able to teach my kids about that aspect of the music industry. I just can't do it with the hardware we currently have unfortunately.
